HomeNetIP is a local-first app. Your data — devices, rooms, categories, images and settings — is stored on your device and synced only through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit).
What we collect
Nothing. HomeNetIP has no servers, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. We never see, transmit, or store your data. Network scanning runs entirely on your device over your local network and is never sent anywhere.
iCloud
Sync uses your private iCloud database, governed by Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy. Your data is not shared with us or with other users.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details — only Apple’s confirmation that the purchase is valid.
Permissions
Local Network (to discover and wake devices), Camera/Photos (optional, for device images), and Face ID (optional, to lock the app). Each is used only for the stated feature and only on your device.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account permanently removes your local data and your iCloud copy.
